DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS IS 4/26/24 - NO EXCEPTIONS
Counselors in Training (CIT’S) gain valuable experience by providing support to instructors and counselors at camp. This program is for Easton teens, ages 14-15 who want to further develop their leadership and communication skills as well as gain experience in planning and instruction of activities for young children.
Applicants need to understand that this is a job, they are expected to participate and work for the week. They will assist with monitoring campers, doing bathroom runs with campers, setting up and participating in games and activities, etc.
Your child must hand in 3 items; Essay, application & W-9.
1) All applicants must be 14 by June 1, 2024 and must remain 15 until August 31, 2024. Teens turning 16 over the summer are too old to apply.
2) We are asking all applicants to write an essay explaining why they want to be a CIT at Easton Sunshine Day Camp. Essay must be a minimum of 300 words.
3) CIT’s will have to commit to a 1-week session and will be paid a stipend of $100.00 per week. Day Camp runs from 6/24/24 - 8/16/24 (8 weeks).
4) Applicants are asked which weeks they CAN NOT work for camp. If you need to cancel the week given, there is a chance you will not receive another week as the schedule is already set for the summer.
5) Acceptance into the program is based on an application, essay and receiving a W-9.
